Whole Biome is seeking an experienced Cloud/DevOps Engineer or Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer with strong Amazon Web Services experience to work collaboratively with our Software Engineers and Data Scientists to build, test, deploy and monitor cloud and laboratory software services, recommend and implement security and performance best practices, and provide  R&D systems support.
What You'll Do
  • Deploy and manage cloud services using AWS and GCPOwn CI/CD process
  • Help automate and streamline our computational pipeline
  • Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments
  • Provide documentation and guidance to developers for proper deployment and testing procedures

About You

Whole Biome is seeking a Growth Marketing Manager, Engagement & Retention to join our Growth Marketing team. We are looking for a team player who is passionate, data-driven, strategic, creative and customer-obsessed to have full ownership over Retention Marketing and Content Marketing for Whole Biome. In this role, you will launch all retention, engagement, and content channels for our first commercial product, while also being responsible for Channel Operations and Analytics.
What You'll Do:
  • Be responsible for the following duties under Channel Operations & Analytics, Retention Marketing, and Content Marketing
Channel Operations & Analytics
  • Lead implementation and launch of new ESP/CRM
  • Lead the development, execution, and measuring of new channels and programs across a variety of marketing channels including Email, SMS, Push and In-app notifications
  • Monitor email health metrics, deliverability, sender score, IP address statuses to ensure high deliverability of emails into the members’ inbox. Improving all KPIs, including open rate, click rate, conversion rate, opt-out rate, monetization, and business goals
Retention Marketing
  • Launch retention programs for all parts of the customer lifecycle
  • Own and commit to the strategy for content marketing in partnership with the brand team and external content developers
  • Rely on market research and data analysis to map the customer journey and define customer segmentation, then create an engagement plan to deliver success against these customer segments 
  • Own the end-to-end production of email marketing including strategy, project management, creative, coding, QA testing, building audience segments, A/B testing and reporting
  • Understand the impact of Email, SMS, Push and In-app notifications to report on the effectiveness of existing initiatives and identify new opportunities for growth
  • Partner and collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, brand, and growth marketing to identify and drive initiatives that will improve customer engagement and LTV
Content Marketing
  • Own the content strategy and lifecycle across growth channels to meet awareness, conversion, engagement and retention goals
  • Understand and assess new content needs, as well as find opportunities to repurpose existing content. Leverage and collaborate with freelancers and content creators to meet these business needs
  • Help drive organic and paid search initiatives with an expert understanding of how to integrate keyword strategy into overall content planning for programs and campaigns
  • Understand content performance and lifecycle, and use data to iterate, improve and maximize results
  • Partner with Brand Marketing and Marketing Communications to deliver a coherent and consistent content strategy 
About You:
  • 5+ years of growth, conversion, product management or deep customer lifecycle marketing with a focus on Email, SMS, Push and In-app notification marketing, coupled with a deep understanding of these different aspects of consumer growth marketing
  • Experience working with marketing automation platforms; experience with Iterable is a huge plus
  • Strong knowledge of email best practices, including email deliverability, A/B testing, dynamic content, and responsive HTML design
  • Analytical background in a data-driven business environment; experience with Amplitude is a big plus
  • Flexibility & ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment with the ability to manage many projects at once
  • Experience working at a B2C start-up with a track record of delivering against retention KPIs
  • Ability to identify overarching digital design issues and opportunities and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong experience in content marketing, blog, education driven email marketing

Whole Biome is seeking a Growth Marketing Manager, Product & Operations to join our Growth Marketing team. Working in partnership and collaboration with an external agency and our internal marketing team, you will have full ownership over the development and launch of our e-commerce site. Reporting to our VP of Growth Marketing, you will contribute to the Whole Biome mission through designing, developing and managing our e-commerce site, while also owning our marketing technology stack.
What You'll Do
  • Own the development and launch of Whole Biome’s e-commerce site. This will include feature roadmap, wireframes, and the design element. 
  • Develop and execute a strategy surrounding the customer shopping experience, using insights and data to make this solution relevant and sales focused
  • Propose and develop new feature development and site enhancements to deliver consistently improved customer experience while continuously improving KPIs.
  • Maintain knowledge of e-commerce backend, feature integrations, products, and services while also recommending new products and enhancements. Look to continuously improve our e-commerce site’s operational efficiency and excellence
  • Manage and monitor all e-commerce product development requests and projects, driving progress and hitting all key timelines
  • Manage outsourced development teams to ensure quality of work, project efficiency and timelines.
  • Work with the design team to ensure deliverability and quality of assets needed to execute all new projects
  • Perform consistent site QA/QC to make sure all features are working across all devices and browsers
  • Consistently push innovation with ongoing site testing of existing and emerging technology and opportunities. Continually leverage new tools & industry best practices.
  • Observe and monitor the competitive landscape. Staying up-to-date on industry trends and insights will be crucial in this role

About You
  • 3+ years of E-commerce experience, required
  • Bachelor's degree in Technology or related field.
  • Must have a strong understanding of UX/UI, Analytics and Site Development
  • Experience working with Shopify Plus, preferred
  • Clear and professionally communication, both verbal and written.
  • Must have the ability to problem solve and time-manage successfully

This position will report to the Senior Staff Data Scientist and be responsible for supporting both bench and clinical scientists.

  • Design, analyze, interpret complex multivariate genomics pathway data in collaboration with lab biologists and fellow data scientists

About You:

What You'll Do
  • Own the Procurement process of direct and indirect procurement items: lab consumables, wet lab equipment, IT computers, etc
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and ensure cost effectiveness in terms of product quality, pricing and lead time
  • Evaluate and qualify new suppliers and vendors for quality and cost effectiveness; Vendor management
  • Train new Whole Biome employees on Point Purchasing, our PO system
  • Process invoices with accounts payable and assist in reports

The person will contribute to the Whole Biome mission through execution and development of molecular biology assays and protocols. The ideal candidate will have experience in qPCR, microbiology (especially anaerobic) and NGS library preparation. This position will interact closely with our Computational and Manufacturing teams.
What You'll Do:
  • Execute molecular biology experiments and use in-house software tools to consider data, unsupervised
  • Support microbiology and molecular biology teams in multiple parallel projects
  • Execute assays both in clinical and R&D labs including DNA extraction, (RT-)qPCR assays and NGS library preparations
  • Execute anaerobic microbiological growth phenotyping assays using sterile technique
  • Prepare and maintain stocks of in-house prepared reagents.
  • Work closely with Molecular R&D, Clinical Assay, and Computational teams
  • Responsible for personal and co-worker safety
About You:
  • B.A. in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biology, or related field
  • 1-5+ years experience in core facility, industrial molecular or microbiological role
  • Familiarity with DNA and RNA extraction, qPCR; familiarity with NGS
  • Familiarity with classical microbiology techniques, including culturing of anaerobic bacteria
  • Familiarity working closely with Senior Scientists to design, develop and optimize assays
  • Comfort (and preferably experience) in handling human samples: stool, skin and blood
  • Familiarity with developing/writing SOPs, documenting and tracking lot numbers and using lab management systems
